Join Emme Tomimbang for a special hour-long television presentation of an ultimate holiday “island moment”! In the last of her three-part-series of Island Moments, Emme celebrates the holiday season and the culmination of the show’s 15th Anniversary with musical moments and lots of holiday cheer. The show, which was filmed before a live audience at the Road Runner Music Hall, feature local music stars such as: Willie K, Na Leo, John Cruz, Jimmy Borges, Pauline Wilson, and more!

Chef Roy Yamaguchi recently celebrated his 20th year with Roy’s Restaurants with over 33 restaurants. Roy reflects on his life as a father, restaurateur, businessman and his recent appearance on Top Chef Masters.
•CHUCK FURUYA HONORED BY LUPUS HAWAII
Hawaii’s first local boy wine sommelier and one of the driving forces behind Hawaii Regional Cuisine and the concept of “Buy Local” was recently honored by Lupus Hawaii. We look back at some of our favorite moments on the road with Chuck and how he got into the wine world.

“Emme's Island Moments Revisited Part One”
Celebrate 15 years of incredible Island Moments as Emme Tomimbang revisits some of her favorite – “interview moments” with some of Hawaii’s special islanders in three separate 2009 Specials. In her first Island Moments of 2009, Emme takes a look back at some remarkable individuals, and updates us on what they have accomplished since her last visit with them:
•DEAN PITCHFORD- PRODUCER OF “FOOTLOOSE”/ “FAME”
St. Louis graduate and Academy award-winning local boy Dean Pitchford returns to the island and to Island Moments. Emme and Dean talk story as Dean directs the St. Louis production of “Footloose,” and shares what it’s like to return home and teach at his alma mater. An unforgettable visit with one of Hawaii’s most successful Hollywood writers and producers!
•REMEMBERING RELL SUNN – ‘THE QUEEN OF MAKAHA REVISITED
Emme’s 1994 show “Rell Sunn – Queen of Makaha” reminds us of Rell’s incredible strength and aloha for the ocean. Rell Sunn’s passion for life and the ocean was undeniable and could not be put off even when she faced her last challenge – breast cancer.

Now, Tia Carrere, actress and Grammy award-winning singer, is planning a movie that celebrates Rell’s life. She talks with Emme about it on the set of her upcoming movie “You May Not Kiss the Bride,” filmed here in Hawaii.

We look at the many faces of Willie K – He’s a father, self-producing and raises money for Maui Memorial Medical Center with his annual golf tournament. He’s also beginning to dabble in movies, playing a small part in “You May Not Kiss the Bride.”
